Everything You Need To Know

Cannabidiol, more commonly referred to as CBD, has recently been making waves in the world of alternative health and natural medicinal remedies – and for good reason. As the cousin of the THC-rich marijuana, CBD comes from the cannabis plant, but does not contain the psychoactive compound (THC), which gives off that feeling of euphoria more commonly associated with marijuana.

Instead, CBD has been widely spoken about and written about for the number of characteristics that it contains in its chemical makeup, which could provide a wide range of positive effects on the body. However, with everything from full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD to CBD isolate, how do you know which product to choose? In this article, we’ll break down the differences between full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate.

What Is Full Spectrum CBD?

There’s a reason for why, even though both full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate are extracted from the exact same plants, they have different names. Full spectrum CBD is referred to as “full spectrum,” because it contains just that! It contains the full spectrum of different cannabinoids that exist within the cannabis plant.

For example, full spectrum CBD could contain trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), along with other flavonoids and terpenes. However, these compounds are what gives CBD it’s flavors and aromas – something that some people who use CBD regularly prefer.

What Is CBD Isolate?

On the other hand, CBD isolate is quite different from full spectrum CBD. CBD isolate is just that – isolated CBD. Instead of containing all of those different cannabinoids like THC, or the supplemental flavonoids and terpenes, isolate contains the purest form of CBD.

So, why use CBD Isolate?

Well, it’s entirely up to you. CBD isolate is essentially geared towards those who are interested in trying CBD out for themselves, but are a bit leery of the mere presence of trace amounts of THC in their CBD oil or CBD gummies. In those instances, CBD isolate is a wonderful alternative. In addition, you can also typically find CBD isolate in larger dosages when compared to full spectrum CBD.

With this in mind, if you’re looking for a high-dose CBD product that doesn’t contain even trace amounts of CBD, then you might want to give CBD isolate a look. Here at Melon CBD, we have a variety of CBD isolate products available for you to choose from.
